Mmmm…did you feel that tang in the air last night? There are dregs of it today as well. Fall is here, my friends. For those of you addicted to summer, I apologise. But for those of you who, like me, have arctic souls, I know that crisp little bite is very exciting. Whispers of frost and layers of wool, knits, tights, mmm….Fall is far and away my favourite season. I love winter quite a bit as well.
Slow Burn is a three week capsule in honour of our love of autumn. This wool cape is the first in that series, modeled by the lovely and captivating Joanna Eggett. I’m very proud to say that this particular item is 100% sustainable, made of very high quality 100% Italian wool, and handmade by yours truly with as much care and precision as possible. This little capelet will certainly last the rest of your life in very good condition. It has a hood and snap closure, and is the perfect little addition to a very stylish fall wardrobe. It is also very functional on days when the weather is fickle and isn’t really cold enough for proper jackets, but it’s already too cold for bare summer shoulders. And it’s a *steal* at only $65.

This next set of editions was a real team effort, and I’m extremely thankful to everyone involved! Evelynne Kuzniak and Arianne Young provided their wonderful accessories, which will have many more detail shots in the upcoming editions.
Alex is modeling a myriad of AWFP pieces in this shot – this floral skirt is a great grab’n'go daily. 100% cotton, side zip and elastic in the back of the waist provides a snug fit. Meant to be worn high-waisted and pretty short! The little hot-pink onesie underneath is made of a bamboo/cotton jersey blend, and has a sateen finish. And though it is not well shown in this particular pic, Alex is also wearing our white sequin hoody. This is a particularly favourite piece of mine. It sort of rattles when you move about. A treat for the eyes and the ears! Fantastic. Medium-sized matte white pearlized paillettes on a white netting base. Full hood, zip closure. Details below:
p.s. bodysuit/onesie pictured is obvs not the hot pink one, but the hot pink one is the exact same style. I realized after writing this page that I didn’t have a pic of the hot pink one all by it’s onesie, so I just threw up this one. This one is also still available, for the same price.

Kel really liked the floral dress, but felt the colours just weren’t right for her, and loved the cut of the yellow stripe dress, but alas – that one sold out quickly. Since she is a very special friend (I don’t do customs very often) and a winter, we found this purple, blue and green rose printed chiffon and knew it would suit her perfectly. Hence, “The Kelly Dress”. I hesitated to release it as a general edition, but I think the colours are apropos for the season, so what the heck. Here you are!
Rose floral chiffon dress with smocked back, longer than either the yellow stripe or the pink floral. Comes down to just above the knee. Please specify if you would like it shorter. We need bust, waist and height measurements for this. You can give us your bra size and jean waist if that makes it easier for you. $50
The tights are also available. They are the most comfortable things in the world. They come in S,M,L. Please indicate height when ordering. We know you can get them at AA, but you can also buy them from us locally and with no sexual harassment and they are very slightly cheaper! xo $45*

This week we were excited about Halloween…I’m *always* excited about Halloween. I’m one of those dorks who plans her Halloween costume six months in advance. No last minute scraping together for me! I’m delighted that this capsule was shot by the sexy and charming Ian Flett using the dark and bizarre decor at Salvador Darling (1237 Queen Street West).
This first piece in the series is sheer black crisp organza with metallic gold lamé flowers woven into it. The constructed bodice is tailored to the customer’s bust, and the back of it is smocked – we are loving the fit that this gives! And it provides a little leeway should any of us lose or gain a little weight, hee hee. With the holidays coming, this is definitely a bonus.
The skirt is gathered and voluminous and tons of fun to twirl in. This is a great party dress. Those gold leggings are also the most comfortable things in the world! Seriously. And they will help you begin your super-hero career, should you wish to start one. And I know – you can get them at AA, but you can also buy them locally from us, and they are very slightly cheaper. It’s all up to you.
